The Cambium ePMP 4500L is a next-generation 5GHz WiFi 6 (802.11ax) fixed wireless access point designed for cost-efficient point-to-multipoint (PtMP) broadband deployments.
Positioned as the lightweight version of the ePMP 4500 series, the 4500L features a 2×2 MU-MIMO architecture, making it ideal for operators seeking strong performance, modern WiFi 6 capabilities, and cost-effective scalability for small to medium WISP networks.
Operating in the 5 GHz band, the ePMP 4500L leverages WiFi 6 technologies such as OFDMA, improved modulation, and enhanced scheduling efficiency, resulting in better throughput, lower latency, and improved performance in congested RF environments compared to previous-generation systems.
The device is designed for point-to-multipoint deployments and supports a moderate number of subscriber modules per sector, making it suitable for rural broadband, suburban ISP networks, and enterprise wireless access.
It integrates seamlessly with Cambium’s cnMaestro cloud management platform, enabling centralized provisioning, monitoring, analytics, and zero-touch deployment across large-scale networks.
The ePMP 4500L also supports GPS synchronization, allowing frequency reuse across multiple sectors on the same tower and improving overall spectral efficiency.
With its simplified architecture and reduced cost compared to the 4500C model, the 4500L provides an excellent entry point into WiFi 6-based fixed wireless infrastructure while maintaining carrier-grade reliability.
